New pillows

My dream day would be sleeping in, getting a fantastic cup of coffee from Heart, and then making about 35 pillows on this cream wool felt and trying out every single stitch that the Bernina machines at Modern Domestic have to offer.  I am in love with the way the applique and the decorative stitches sink into the felt and look so lush...Dreamy.   I want to do a fancy stitch stripe on EVERYTHING. On wool felt, all the time, every day.

Would you like to make a tree skirt?

My tree skirt class at Modern Domestic was so fun that we decided to add another one! The next session will be Tuesday mornings December 7th and 14th from 9-12pm and you can sign up for the class here! Here are some images from the last class- we had so much fun.

New goodies in the shop!

I have a few new hoodie designs and some new table runners in the shop just in time for holiday shopping- check them out!

I have been really working hard to get ready for the holidays and the shows ( the Sunday Best and Crafty Wonderland- be there.) this year.  Here is some new work in the form of unfinished pillow fronts and a peek at my progress.

Let the holidays begin!

I may have been making stockings for the last two months, but it is not the holidays in out house until we start making salt dough ornaments- so much fun on a winter afternoon.

Clay, Wood and Cotton

I am loving these fabrics from the very cute website Clay, Wood and Cotton.

New favorites from Toast UK

Mmmmm....Toast. So pretty.

ANTHOLOGY

The debut issue if Anthology magazine arrived in my mailbox a few days ago and I have been carrying it around and telling everyone I know to get a copy.  It is wonderful. The pages feel good, the ink smells delightful, the photos are heaven and the writing is well written. I am a huge fan and after this first issue I cannot wait to subscribe. I suggest you do too!
Here in Portland Anthology will be carried at  Oui Presse, a coffee shop set to open Dec. 1st that describes its self as an espresso bar and magazine shop serving Stumptown coffee! I can't WAIT.  If there is something I love as much as sewing and fabric it is magazines and coffee- and any coffee shop that carries Anthology has already stolen my heart!
