I thought it would be fun to make a dream holiday gift list...so here are a few things I would love to have. I would also love a FULL TIME NANNY, COOK AND HOUSE KEEPER. ( Sorry, hard night with the girls, it just kills me when they throw a fit over a beautiful dinner I have just shopped for, prepared and cleaned up after. Oh well. Sigh.)

from the top down, a Babylock Eclipse (SELF THREADING!!!) serger, vintage gold and diamond Cartier aviators, Dwell bedding (I would love the whole room please...a quiet room...) Le Cruset dutch ovens...why are they SO EXPENSIVE??, and treats from Anthropologie, I can't help it, I love that place.

Treat...

A dear friend of mine once suggested that my tomb stone will read "I accidentally bought a hoodie." And that is exactly what I did a few days ago. It is my "the Sunday Best sale went well and I am finally back in my old pants after having a baby" treat.
Yum.
Prairie Underground is my favorite label and I like to think of myself as a collector. A collector of fine hooded sweatshirts. I think this one is my favorite EVER, and that is saying a lot...seriously. I know me is know my hoodies.

Sunday Best Sale!

Thank you so much to everyone who came to the sale at the Ace Hotel to come and see my work! The show was a huge success, I loved meeting everyone and (fingers crossed) many new exciting projects are going to come out of all of the exposure my work got.
Here are some pictures from the sale.

In the round

I wanted to post about ten images of pretty beds, because what I really want to do right now is curl up and sleep- why must it be so dark at 4:30 pm? It does not help my productivity.
But instead here are some patterns and products from Thomas Paul that I love.
As I write this both of my children are enjoying making the most incredible mess of my living room, I have no idea what is for dinner and all I can think about are making more birds....

New friends

I want to neglect all of my duties as a wife and mother and sit in my studio and make these little birds all day long... I think it will end up being all night long instead.
Perfect for the Christmas tree, no? I will be adding them to my shop and a making some for the sale as well.

Getting ready for the Sunday Best Sale...

I have been spending every free waking minute getting ready and making things for the Sunday Best Holiday Sale, and I can finally say that I am feeling ready!
I have a few items still left to make, and some finishing touches left to put on some items, but I am feeling calm and productive- not something I could have said last week!

Mmmmm....sleep....

I just want to crawl into this bed right now and get about 14 hours sleep right now. My entire family has been sick, my husband has been totally out of commission with "The Flu" for four days, and both girls have been sick off and on since the last week of October. And I am madly trying to finish my work for the Sunday Best sale, so sleep has been in short supply.
Also those pillow cases make me want to add a whole new product to my line...Anna Joyce Design Bedding needs to happen asap.

I added a few new canvases to my shop, and am working hard on new products too...Christmas stockings anyone? I will post them as soon as I have photos.

Yes please...

I will take one of everything from Orla Kiely's home line for the British company Heals.

Color!

I am so in love with the color palette from the latest TOAST catalog, especially the pops of bright yellow. Makes me want to get in the studio this morning...anyone free to watch my girls?

Halloween!

We had a really fun Halloween trick or treating with family and friends...it was wonderful that we were even able to go, our whole family has been hit really hard by cold and flu season, but we are all on the mend. I have hardly been in the studio for about ten days and today is the first morning I have woken up and not felt like I was hit by a truck in the night.
Here is a wonderful photo of Iris, our little "Monkey" from Halloween that our good friend Greg took.

Yummy.

I would love to sell everything in my Esty shop so I could buy a few things from Jcrew for fall...I would also love it if my life style allowed me to wear gold heels more than twice a year.

Tea Towels!

These tea towels will be for sale at the Sunday Best sale. My very good friend Sarah helps me cut all the linen...we chat and listen to music and eat exotic chocolate in my studio after the girls go to bed, it does not feel like work at all. I love my job.
They will also be available in my Etsy shop- if my girls every go to sleep tonight I am going to load them up...sigh...another late night.
I love coffee.

Photo shoot today...

I spent a wonderful day with my friend Jessica at her house doing a photo shoot for my new table linens. Even thought Jess shares her 900sft house with her husband and three young sons it still manages to feel tidy, organized and airy. She has that perfect balance between modern and organic that you just can't fake. It was a great day, and she makes a perfect cup of coffee- much needed after a very late night in the studio getting everything ready to photograph...

Apple Picking

Last Sunday our family went apple picking just outside of Hood River at Mt. Hood Organic Farms- we picked 22 pounds of organic Gala apples. It was so fun to get out with the girls. The drive through the Columbia Gorge is so beautiful and the apples are so tasty. It was a great reminder that taking day trips can be really fun and relaxing.

The growth charts are finally done!

I finally finished the growth charts that I was making for the amazing store SpielWerk! They were a lot of fun and a lot of work. And I have to say thank you to my incredible friend Sarah for all of the help she gave me with these- we spent several long nights together in my studio after the girls were in bed cutting and ironing these to get them done.
I am really happy with the results. They are all hand cut and sewn cotton appliqued onto 100% wool felt. Meant to last a life time!
You can buy them here and here.
