I dusted off my Print Gocco  today and printed a few tags for holiday wrapping, both for myself and for my Etsy shop.
They are funky.

Three days of fun

My dear and talented friend Dane Tashima (you should click this link and check out his work- swoon) was in town all this week from Chicago and we had the most wonderful time! Bike riding at sunset, drinks at Clyde Common, photo booth fun, a picnic and ice cream with the girls, and then a whole day with just Dane showing off our AMAZING city...I always fall even more in love with Portland when I can show it off to such a good friend from out of town.  And hanging out with such a talented photographer all day has major perks- these pictures of my girls are so precious to me.
Dane also brought me this incredible ceramic owl from Jayson Home and Garden in Chicago.  Thank you for everything Dane- I love you!

West Elm

It seems like very quietly West Elm has gotten really great and stylish and somewhere I really would like to shop. I am putting one of those chevron wool rugs at the very top of my wish list for our home. I have been looking for a new rug for years and I think this on is it.  And the prices are really great!
Is it just me or does it seem like they borrowed the styling for these shots right out of the Domino Magazine play book?
I miss Domino. BRING IT BACK.
And keep up the good work West Elm.

Japanese Needle Craft

I spent a wonderful afternoon at Powell's Books looking for inspiration, and I found some.
I found these amazing Japanese needle craft books that are blowing my mind. The styling and images are amazing, the colors are incredible and now I have a crazy desire for MORE MORE MORE Japanese craft books. This Etsy shop has the best selection I have ever seen...I almost don't wan to share it with you.

Heading off to class...

Heading off to teach another class at Modern Domestic this afternoon.  We have added several more classes for August- you can check out all of my classes and times for next month here, including a class showing how to applique on your clothing!

Thinking about fall...

I wanted these boots last fall but never got them- I was too busy breaking in my Frye boots.
I think I will bite the bullet this year and get these in gray. Oh J Crew.

Etsy Love

I keep finding all of these shops that I love on Etsy today... I am so inspired by This Neck of the Woods and her paper garlands.
We have garlands up in our house all the time and I would love to add one of these to our collection. I love how they make everyday feel so festive!
Check them out here.

Wallpaper...

Day dreaming about having my designs printed onto wallpaper...

June Craft

I just could not resist this sweet little print from June Craft on Etsy, I had to have it!
I love her shop, check it out here.

Summer lust

I love this brand Plumo that I found via one of my favorite blogs Creature Comforts. All I want to wear are sundresses right now and I don't really have any...I would take one of every dress on Plumo if I could...And I know it is a little early in the season for boots but I just love those suede boots. I might treat myself to some Plumo goodies but the prices are in pounds and not dollars. Sigh.

Christmas in July

So I know it is hot and it is hard to think about anything but cute summer dresses and BBQs, but here is a preview of some of my holiday goodies...I hear from everyone that magazines are looking for holiday items in July so fingers crossed some one takes notice and I get a feature? Sunset?? Real Simple?? Yes please.
All of these items and much more are available here.

Summer Sale!

Right here!

Oh, Martha.

Victor had a huge gift certificate to Powell's Books, and he came home with a treat for me last night! I have been drooling over the Martha Stewart Encyclopedia of Sewing and Fabric Crafts ever since I first saw it, and this book does not disappoint. It has a CD ROM in the back with patterns and all of the photos alone are enough to make me want to stay in my studio for weeks. I do think that often times Martha's crafts are hard to execute, but the projects are a perfect jumping off point and totally inspiring.

Class!

I taught my first class at Modern Domestic last Saturday and it was so wonderful! My students were fun, inspiring and really took the class and ran with it. We shared some fabric- one my my students (named Anna Joyce!) gave me a large square of the most dreamy fabric-thank you!
Here are a few photos from the class- I can't wait for the next one!
